II Vestibular pathology Meeting in Mieres (Asturias), 15–16 May 2026

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Organizing Committee is pleased to inform you that the 2nd Mieres Conference on Vestibular Pathology will be held on May 15–16, 2026. The venue for the meeting will be the Auditorium of Hospital Vital Álvarez-Buylla in Mieres (Asturias, Spain).

With the support of the Scientific Committee, we have developed a program that we hope will be attractive to attendees and that covers various aspects of this subspecialty to which we are deeply devoted: Otoneurology.

These Conference sessions are focused on updating knowledge in Vestibular Medicine, with a high scientific standard. We will feature several Keynote Lectures delivered by leading international and national speakers. We would like to highlight the live online participation of Dr. Michael Halmagyi and Dr. Ian Curthoys from Australia, as well as Dr. Steven Rauch from the USA. We are also honored to welcome Dr. Gülden Akdal from Turkey, who will attend in person.

We are fortunate to count on distinguished national speakers, including Dr. Juan Manuel Espinosa, President of the Otoneurology Committee of SEORL, and Dr. Andrés Soto, President of the Research Committee of SEORL.

The Round Tables will be another highlight of the Conference, addressing topics of great interest such as the Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex, the relationship between Ménière’s Disease and Vestibular Migraine, and the current status of various aspects of Otoneurology in our country.

Finally, and no less importantly, participants’ specific research interests will have their dedicated space within a session of Oral Communications.

Simultaneous translation will be available for those who wish to use it, in order to fully benefit from the scientific content.

This will be the second time we hold a Vestibular Pathology Conference in Mieres, following the success of the previous edition, which was organized within the framework of the Asturian ORL Meeting. We hope that everyone will enjoy both the scientific activities and the opportunity for direct interaction with colleagues, without forgetting the social program, including a gala dinner to which all attendees are invited.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mieres in May 2026!

Yours sincerely,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee.
